Pale flakes fluttered down from the clouds like tiny icy paratroopers, intent on covering everything with blank white. The snow flew down in gusts, so thick he could barely see the other buildings of the campus from the library windows. On an evening more clear, the full moon would have been out, bright enough to light the way without any other illumination. As it was, the only points of light to be seen through the snowstorm were the soft golden rectangles of windows and lonely lampposts, tiny beacons in the sea of white.
It was oddly soundless behind the thick glass windows of the upper-floor corner where he sat, watching the storm
There's elegance to your attacks
You execute them well
I saw the sunlight dance
On every cutting spear that fell
And every barb you left me
Was so artful in its clinging
You forced my admiration
Even as I cursed the stinging
I shudder when I think of how effective you would be
If, instead of our relationship, your words were wounding me.

Role Reversal - Temple Prison
The dungeons of Hyrule castle were neither expansive nor all that frightening, as peacetime in this country produced little more than pickpockets or fraudsters. Its tenders swept them clean every morning, gave its guests a clean bed of straw, and provided simple food and water. Not a comfortable place by any means, but certainly preferable to cold winter nights as far as debtors were concerned.
The Shadow Temple just outside Kakariko village, however, was another story.

Ganondorf had torn the Triforce both from her and from Link's body, yet once reunited, it disappeared. And so the three of them remained in that room, all that they had worked for now gone.
"How is this possible?!" Ganondorf demanded over and over again. "How can it be?!"

The deadened moss crunched under the Princess Zelda's leather heel as she turned for the second counterclockwise circle around her work. The directions were very precise. They had to be. No matter how badly they had been written, carried in the hands of some foul shaman, there was nothing broad or vague about it.
The veil was a terrible, exacting thing, after all. It was a strong magic that kept mortals out of the Dark Realm, out of that hell of tormented souls and black reflections. Errors would be fatal, catastrophic. A ritual of such a dire caliber required precision. The runes cut into the broken dirt were perfect, the c

It looked like a gentle mass of furry evergreen branches, rapidly welcoming Link's careening sled, but his terrified mind processed only the hidden trunks. Over and over within the span of a few seconds, he imagined violently striking cold, hard wood, a scratching host of needles the least of his worries, and was almost surprised when the actual impact occurred.
"Link!" Midna yelled, jumping out of his shadow as the sled went its merry way into an unforgiving cliff face. "Are y
